Antoinette Konow

Antoinette Konow, soprano, proudly hails from the Fox Valley Area where she was born and raised. Her passion for performing began at a young age, excelling on the musical theatre stage before embarking on her operatic journey. As a Founder of Fox Valley Opera, she is excited to be rooting the company at home and is eager to establish Fox Valley Opera as one of the great arts organizations in the community.

Antoinette's recent local performances have showcased her versatility and talent, including the role of Freia in Das Rheingold, alongside her notable portrayals of Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and Nedda in Pagliacci.

Ms. Konow's other career highlights include touring as an artist with Opera for the Young in Madison, Wisconsin, and serving as a Young Artist with Asheville Lyric Opera. She captivated audiences as Georgina in High Fidelity and Monica in The Medium with ColorBox Theatre of Chicago. Her repertoire spans a wide range of roles such as Gertrude Stein in The Mother of Us All, Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica, Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Cendrillon in Cendrillon, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus.

Antoinette earned her Bachelor of Music in voice performance from Simpson College and Master of Music in voice performance from the University of North Texas. She currently shares her passion for music as a cantor for Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. When not performing, Antoinette can be found happily raising her 2 year old son.
