Marnie Baylouny is a soprano living in the Chicago area originally from New Jersey. Marnie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory where she studied under the tutelage of Patty Thom. During her time at the conservatory, she understudied the role of Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro and was part of the ensemble for Rake's Progress.
Ms. Baylouny has performed a variety of roles including Papagena and Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte with Berlin Opera Academy, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Astoria Music Festival, and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel with Evanston Chamber Opera.
In addition to performing with local companies, Ms. Baylouny is also the creative director and a co-founder of the Valkyrie Ensemble, and had the privilege to make her debut as Musetta in their production of La Femme Bohème last year. This winter, she made her directorial debut with Get Thee to a Nunnery! Suor and more. She is thrilled to join Fox Valley Opera in this fabulous program!
