Pianist Chiayi Lee received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa, and both a Masters’ degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Chiayi is an active pianist with an extensive background in solo and chamber music performance. As a passionate collaborative pianist, she enjoys working with numerous ensembles, instrumentalists, and vocalists. She had worked for Cedar Rapid Opera Theatre, Dupage Opera Theatre, Interactive Opera Company, Elgin Opera and Soiree Lyrique. She served as a member of the piano faculty and the staff accompanist at Coe College, and she was also the staff accompanist at Cornell College while she was pursuing her doctoral degree. Teaching has also being her passion, and she is comfortable teaching students with all levels and piano classes. Dr. Lee is currently the adjunct piano faculty and the collaborative pianist at Harper College and Aurora University.
